TIME FLIES BY...

Let's see, here we are heading toward the middle of June and the last time that I posted was Abby's birthday in the middle of March. There must be something wrong with this picture. Oh well, as long as we update once a season we will be good right? The last few months have been a whirlwhind. I had six weeks off of work for maternity leave, that really felt like six days. have since started back to work, which has been a pretty smooth transition this time I might say. Things are working out in my favor and I am working day shift for the summer. This is much easier on my circadian rhythm, as Abby likes to eat every two hours during the daylight hours. Abby is growing like a weed, drinking straight cream I swear. She loves her mom and is a little angel when I'm around, no complaints. But, when I leave for work, let the screaming begin. Jason has had a number of days where his patients are tissue paper thin. She will only stop crying if he picks her up and holds her all day. So much for getting anything done around the house. However, just last week he found that if he puts a shirt that he has worn next to her face she will take more than just a catnap. Jason was very proud of himself for figuring that one out. She is a sweet little girl, she is just wrapping her daddy around her little fingers, knowing what she wants from the get-go. Jacob is comming up with new things every day. The thing I've really noticed the most is that he repeats everything that Jason and I say, no matter what we are talking about or who we are talking to. He also is right underneath Jason's feet as long as he is awake. He want's to be wherever dad is and to do whatever dad is doing. He is also our go boy. He does not like to be the one to stay at home if someone is going somewehere. It doesn't matter if you are going outside to the trashcan, or to the grocery store for milk, he wants to go too. It is rewarding and sad to watch him grow into a little boy, where did our baby go? Jason has been busy with the kids at home, managing the storage units and uhaul business and working on our property out in Alamo. Just this last week he had Lasik and PRK eye surgery. He developed an allergy to his contacts about a month ago. Jase has always wanted to do Lasik, so this was the perfect opportunity. The recovery process has gone very well. The doctor is quite supprised at how well and how fast his eyes are healing. Jason had a rough go for a couple of days post op with burning feeling in his PRK eye, but alas all is well. He says that his vision is improving more and more every day. He is quite pleased. All in all we are doing well and managing to keep busy.

Great post Jessica! Your kids are adorable. I remember when our kids got into the "I want to do everything with you" phase. Good luck keeping your big boy busy.
